I shop here on regular basis to support domestic violence shelter for woman.
But there's definitely a girl club going on here and its sad the higher management in next building aren't willing to do anything about it. The women are unkept, unclean, rolled out of bed look, no hair combing, rude, uneducated, and mean tempered to say the least. They are however predictable which supposedly keeps them there. How lazy can you get! Ask anyone else and you get responses of exactly the same. I'm told and have witnessed the friendly pretty woman are abused verbally and get fired and hours cut while the manager is hiring non English speaking woman and works minimum hours herself. Don't understand how this can continue in a place supporting domestic violence?
I purchased a TV that was marked as 40", I didn't 🤔 think to measure it as how simple can reading a tape measure be? Well, apparently not so simple. It looked a bit small once I took it outside so I asked for a tape measure and it measured 32". It was marked wrong. No problem I thought, it's only been 3 minutes, I'll just get a refund. WRONG!!
The manager told me in no uncertain terms that the mistake was MINE for not measuring it prior to purchase. I noted that they have a 2 day return policy on electronics and was TOLD very plainly that that only applies to faulty merchandise. No exceptions allowed!! Unbelievable bad and poor customer service.
Be forewarned that their policy is YOU ARE WRONG WE ARE RIGHT.
I understand this thrift store helps woman and children, But when your prices are that of a regular store, what is your purpose? I went in and needed a sweatshirt Im disabled, I was not paying 30 for something used and donated. People go to thrift stores because they cant afford the prices.Then to walk inti a thrift store and see those prices nope. Wont go back
I grew up in domestic violence home , watching my dad beat up my mother . so i was driving on
HWY 50 in Carson city and I found a domestic abuse center and thrift store classy seconds . to support the center I went in . but as soon as I entered I saw an ugly dispute between a older lady assumed she is the manager yelling at young lady cashier and for whatever reason doesn't justify this behavior . Does this place support man and woman abuse only or woman against woman ? or hiding behind the name of your center to bring sympathy for their business . ,
I recommend this thrift shop. I've gone here for many years. Their new store is beautiful and well kept up. Still has the same feel as the old store. All the staff have been very friendly and helpful. Their prices have fluctuated a little, but they are still very cheap, UNLESS you only shop in the boutique. The boutique is their more elegant or brand name type of section. They have fancy dresses, and every type of nice clothing you might think of.
To answer some questions, yes, there are some pieces that show more wear and tear but to each their own. To summarize, classy seconds stands for a good cause and carries things you may not expect.
I went into Classy Seconds to buy a dress and the dress that I wanted to purchase was missing the price tag and the cashier lady said, "What is this? As she looked at the dress and I said, It is a dress then she said in a disrespectful voice tone "I can tell you this right now, your not getting this dress, for three dollars." then I said, I'm not coming back then she said, good. The dress costed $12 and usually the dresses are $3.
Very rude management and unorganized. A bit overpriced. Bought an ugly suit because the wall price said $5 and the manager would not honor. I don’t think she is aware of laws pertaining to honoring posted prices. I am sure this issue has come up a lot because of their outdated signage. We go to a lot of thrift stores all over the country and absolutely will not return here.
Way over priced! I saw items I could get at Walmart selling for more money there.
A Thrift Store with Heart and Class ~ Classy Seconds' selection, pricing, daily deals, staff, organization, cleanliness, and location are top notch. And the displays are amazing works of art! Wish all thrift stores had this much class.
This place is amazing it has some wonderful finds, they also have a full line of Lula roe,
They have some neat dishes but they don’t wash them so they will be grimy looking. Also look at this awesome find I found this great shirt for my grandmother!!
